  1. Bad taste, but it is a free country.

Now if it had been Red Ed that would be completely OK ;)

  2. Yep. Bad taste I agree. But I bet he is secretly chuffed. I would be. That I'd pissed off a bunch of tories to that degree, would give me immense satisfaction.

  3. So, any chance of a Civil War starting

  4. think it's quite funny myself, i would be pretty chuffed if where me.

  5. Alex Salmond? Who's he?

    Another historical figure, I guess.

  6. I am waiting for when England has the vote to see if we still want Scotland, it should work both ways.

  7. In the town of Lewes there is a long-standing tradition of being offensively mean and vindictive on 5 November. Salmond is not the first, and won't be the last. If the bonfire clubs of Lewes want to reinforce their reputation for being nasty and tasteless yet again, so be it. It's a free country and this is not against the law.

  8. The one they're parading through the town is quite funny but burning an effigy of a living person is pretty poor taste even in jest.
I can't see what their problem is. Salmond and the SNP are the Tory's friends. They are destroying Scottish Labour and they have handed on a plate to England the right to settle the West Lothian question and given a massive shot in the arm to the cause of English devolution.
Farage is far more of a threat to the Torys than Salmond. Its a pity they didn't burn an effigy of him, it would have been worth thousands of votes and a few more defections.

  9. Bad taste however you look at it. Imho any living person should be given the decenty of not ahaving an effegy burned or hanged.

  10. i believe most will find it funny,if it gives a little insight to the mind set of some it will do no harm at all.
i remember party's being held in Glasgow after magie thatcher died, that was v.distasteful.

  11. Well I thought it was ace! But unlike most people, I don't take life too seriously...

  12. Santa isn't real Loz.
If you ride the train into London Bridge, some wag had graffiti'd "The Witch is Dead" but added a really pertinent and thoughtful note "But the Spell Remains". I thought that was some of the most inspired graffiti i'd seen in a long while.

  14. Hmm, thought provoking indeed. But if the whining twat just put down his spray can and joined the rat race (like the rest of us) he might not be so bitter. And santa is real. Watch The Polar Express....
