I was stopped by a guy collecting on behalf of the Alzheimers Society whilst in the shopping centre today. "You already collected from me half an hour ago - don't you remember?" I told him
Today I got back from Steve Turner powder coating the last of the six FPS wheels I need for my Pantah projects (now looking lovely in gold), fitted new wheel bearings to it, bolted on the brake discs (new stainless bolts), and went to get a new tyre fitted (Pirelli Sport Demon) at Essential Tyres. Also took some sprocket carriers and a cylinder barrel to ICM bead blasting in Penge; the new bearings for the sprocket carriers have come, so all ready to go in. Gradually making progress. Very gradually. Learned that getting some worn-out 260mm cast iron brake discs built up with metal spraying and ground back to standard would cost £160 per disc. Hmm.
Rode another 170 miles today, Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex. Even enjoyed the wet bits. The new owners of Loomies, West Meon, are very friendly and seem to be trying to provide an excellent service. I couldn't be happier about that Now, if we can just get Rykas at Bogs Hill to feel the same way ... they could start by providing free wifi
I've had a mixed day today. Work wise its been pretty mundane and I've spent a few hours going over a new website I've commissioned. On a personal level I've had two bits of bad news and one piece of good news.

I just dip in and out of FB mainly monitoring business connections. My new website is looking good. Think I've sorted all the text and now need to finalise all the pics and vids for it.
