not to important to some i know but what a crock of you know what. Jim Murphy: I'd repeal SNP's anti-sectarian football law | Herald Scotland the guys been in westminster toooo long. BTW Scotland gonna kick your ass this month.
Sectarianism is the reason I dont like football, so while it may be a clumsy law and possibly worth revisiting I'm happy for the courts to deal with the small minded bigots who dragged this crap on for years in the safety of football crowds. They also have forced the clubs to actually tell the supporters groups to stop it rather than sitting back and ignoring it. It's a huge corrosive problem in the west and I'll support everything that tries to deal with it.
No room for sectarianism in any walk of life. Its the 21st century not the 16th. Both sides are fools believing in their own Gods importance over anothers. One persons imaginary deity is no more real than anothers imaginary deity. To fight one another over a belief in an omnipotent being that does not exist is ludicrous. I simply do not understand a persons need to believe in something so clearly imaginary as a god. Catholicism, Presbyterianism, Protestantism, Islam are the four vilest corners of hatred in our world. My great grandather was a Minister too. My uncle Jock is a member of the Kirk round his way. I was brought up as a Presbyterian in my early yrs, taken to Rangers matches and marched as a child with orange men bands. I hated it. Some of my wee pals were Celtic supporters or Hibs. I support Queen of the South now.
go on then, what football team do you support. If you say Watford, then the fistful of travellers cheques scene will play out.
Jim Murphy is one of the few leftie politicians north of the border who talk any sense at all. As for the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act it sounds like another piece of right on PC bollox written by idiots, just like the reduction in drink drive limits.
obviously there was humor init but go back to the burning effigy photo did you see thee young kids in the photo, will the parents say it's just a joke son we love them really and you had better to.? just for discussion purposes only.
I've never been into football either but when I was at school we used to cheer when Buckie Thistle posted a win on the results programme because we liked the name. Do they still exist or have they been swallowed by a Donald Trump golf course?
Buckie Thistle do still exist, in the Highland League, not sure of their status..( interesting wee story on why they wear green )
What? You can't call someone a ManU supporter and not expect outrage and revulsion in reply. How would you like it if I called you one? Sheesh. Loathsome foul thing to say to someone.
