1200 Heated Grip Fuse

  1. Surely if there was no resistance the heated grips would blow up the battery, presenting it with a dead short!
I think you mean infinite resistance.

I know they are just words, but depending how you use them and where they have a very different meaning. They can start wars.

  2. Aircon, thanks for clarifying, I did mean infinite resistance. Although the electronic bits between the battery and the grips would melt first, before the battery went .

  3. There was a revised p/n as of around May this year, which may have improved things.

  4. Only if they had some resistance

  5. Well I'm not messing with it, I've phoned Andy at DMC moto in Preston. he said he will order me a new set in and fit them under warranty. If it's like all the other bits I'm waiting for I should have it done by next summer.

  6. Seem to have a similar problem bike brand new first outing today grips are not working battery looks good. Really very poor for a £17 k bike hope things improve. Not going to mess about with them will book it in to have it sorted, the electrics to complicated for me if its not got a fuse.

  7. This is a known problem, if one goes "Open Circuit" then they both shut down. A new pair (under Warranty) is the answer. Ducati really do need better QC on the supplier of these heated grips.
