The tank bag is Clover I think, I bought it because it had suckers as the mounting system so ideal for the plastic tank...wrong! Because of the contours of the tank the suckers wouldn't stick, so I binned the suckers and cut some holes in the base plate for the straps to go through. So the base plate stayed on the tank throughout the trip and the tank bag clips in in seconds with the plastic clips. The base plate is wrapped in some anti-slip matt as seen under the kriega on the tail in the top photo, helps to hold everything in place (not that the Kriega needs it) and more iimportantly protects the paintwork. It worked ok although it looked a bit ugly.
Did you find the tank bag put you off your riding position? I had one that high and it really got to me by the end of the trip. Am going to invest in something much flatter for next trip. Regards Steve

Yep it's to late I feel but I'm with you on Ventura mate, it's faultless as long as you overlook the fact it looks like you made it in your shed.
Didn't cause any problems whatsoever, in fact it felt weired when I took it off! I think it deflected the wind blast a bit.
Hi Mate, i have covered France, Switzerland, Germany, and back about 1900 miles on my 1198, with Ventura Luggage, spada bag, plenty of room and if required you zip in another bag as well. only draw back is the cost a bit pricey but well worth it. good luck on your trip!
