No, Not Anthxxxxx.............. Bl**dy ants, Everywhere, on the ground in the air, up my trousers.........Red ones, black ones (ants, not trousers)......all the blokes come to life, hump the bigger females (who's wings fall off) and then die; leaving the females to find a hole and become queens so they can have more bl**dy ants. HTF do they know what month it is let alone what day and time of day it is, for them to suddenly decide to have a sex party?..... Even Mrs Arquebus encountered them 15 miles away, so it's not just here. Perhaps they all have antmail............ AL.
Come on AL, Whatever colour your pants are, It's 2012 and the electronic era...gone are the days of the digital watch and desk diary. They'll just check it all out on their PDA's and no better place than facebook to find where the nearest ant sex party is happening. Get with it!
Greg James called them flants. Apparently they're everywhere but not noticed them in NE somerset. But millions of gnats and horseflies. Horseflies bite and it hurts!
I had a bimble out to Great Bentley and then right down the A12 and back up tonight to cool down. Poxy Anthill mob ... I stupidly lifted my visor up a bit for some air. The rampant buggers hurt like hell when they hit you in the face ! Then one obviously survived and got in my crash helmet!! i had to locate said ant. It was like bush tucker trial ... ants in my gob ... No chocolate covered ants. They even kept glowing in my headlamp ! Sizewell ants . Mind you if you knew you only had a few hours left why not go out with a bang or two
Must have been a thermals rising thing. I was out on bikey and there was also a lot of hot air balloons about... Unless the ants have learned to fly balloons
One lady had to abandon her attempts to eat her lunch on the bench, she said: “It’s absolutely disgusting, they’re everywhere!” Bloody nature eh...?
The ant has made herself illustrious By constant industry industrious. So what? Would you be calm and placid If you were full of formic acid? The Ant by Ogden Nash
Somehow I doubt it....mind you, I have never investigated........not easy with gloves and a helmet on, particularly if the visor shuts, apparently... AL.
