What's more annoying then a 4x4 in front of you?

  1. A 4x4 with fecking black windows...!!! :rolleyes::mad::rolleyes::mad:

  2. How else would you be able to find you local drug dealer?

  3. How the f*ck have you got a 4x4 in front of you? Black windows or not!

It should be in your mirrors surely!

  4. That's what I was trying to do!
Before everyone decided they needed to hide behind black windows like feking Madonna, you could look through the tonkas and be on yr way!

  5. Fecking Caravans...............and Camper vans....................................they are worse:mad:

  6. Have you noticed that all their number plates start with "X5" just in case they forget what car they bought.......

  7. Similar to Old Bill cars have POLICE written on them, so thay know what ones to take out of the nick.

  8. Wobble boxes I hate!! I usually get stuck behind convoys of em

  9. My dad worked in the car industry in the 60s as an engineer (this was in the States).

He said that almost all American cars in those days were designed so that the driver of a car can always see through the windows of the car in front, to see the tail lights of the car in front of that one.

What an incredibly sensible approach to car construction. Proper safety consideration, rather than the "I'm All Right Jack" approach of these days. This is a big, big bugbear of mine, so don't get me started.

  10. Whatever you do, don't go to Moscow. Everyone has blacked out windows. Everyone. Even if you have the bottom of the range naffmobile, you have blacked out windows. And yes, there are lots of 4x4s with blacked out windows filled with young men in suits with dark glasses and bulging inside pockets.

While we are on the subject, no one wears a seatbelt (considered namby pamby) and motorcyclists don't bother much with helmets (when you'd expect them to favour tinted visors).

  11. In a hurry and you come across a jam sandwich doing 1 mile an hour under the speed the limit , the bizzies just waiting for the first fool to try their luck . In that situation it's amazing how long it takes before a fool in a X5 with the blacked out windows comes along .

  12. Proper Safety?
    1960s American car design?
Ever heard of Ralph Nader, the Chevrolet Corvair or the Ford Pinto?

  13. Pinto was 70s, I believe. Still, I get what you're saying

I was being a little tongue in cheek but my point - not being able to see through a car's windows to the tail lights of the car in front - is a solid one. The idea of designing cars to maximise sight lines is lost in the depths of time, alas.
