  1. I think he means grammar enables clear communication ... just saying! But more to the point, I want a new bike in the spring and if there's no 2015 PP I'm going to be an unhappy customer. Would Ducati take any notice of a pan-forum petition? Could we join forced with the guys on the MS Ducati site to put pressure on?

  2. [IMG] was all I was saying!
Below is a good book, as is her second.

  3. As the @Count said the PP (and the base) model never sold in big numbers, if the turn out at meetings is anything to go by.
I'm waiting on the Kompressor version.:D

PRESS, then RELEASE, PRESS again until "OMG" is displayed and then HOLD while closing the throttle.

  4. Nah, kompressor would be if owned by Mercedes ;)
Surely it will be a tdi :|

  5. I have a T-shirt with the first one printed on it (you probably won't be surprised to learn!)

  8. Not really, the statement lacks the intention to amuse or confuse.

    IRONY:
    a. The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning.
    b. An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning.
    c. A literary style employing such contrasts for humorous or rhetorical effect.

  9. A pedant preaching to others about clear communication who misses the fact that, in context of the sentance stated, 'clear communication' has more than a single meaning. Therefore, the communication is not clear to all readers as it has ambiguity.

Hence, the pedant pointing out am error, re-establishing the error without noticing the error and therefore undermining said pedancy, is demonstrating irony in they clearly arent as bright as they think they are

    So B

  11. Quite so. But it's not strictly speaking irony, which is, primarily, a conceit whereby one states the opposite to what one believes for comic effect. It's just a silly f*** up. Check your dictionary. So you are hoist on your own pituitary gland (or something like that!) But your statement is not ironic either, you'll be glad to hear. It's just wrong. You use the word irony in your implicit criticism of the previous post (and you, along with most people use irony in a different way to its dictionary definition. Let's hope the editors of dictionaries catch up soon.)

  12. A thousand spoons when all you need is a knife...which only becomes ironic if yesterday you had a thousand knives and all you needed was a spoon
