When it comes to a matter of days before a new bike is about to be delivered a can't stop thinking about it. The night before I can barely sleep. I must admit this has got worse since 2008 when I got my 1st new Ducati. I guess the last few BMW's I have bought I was less excited about but I put that down to Ducati's which have kind of re-awaken my passion for biking. Chris.
1st ducati. 1st big bike of any kind- looks like a got a few sleepless nights ahead!!:biggrin: (My 6 year old daughter just came downstairs with a hand drawn red ducati pic. Brilliant!!)

Put the 848 where it should be....... on the track. Book a track day, enter in the beginner class and enjoy. You'll quickly find out what these machines can do and then you'll give them more respect in conditions that aren't as good as the track, i.e. road!!! Since doing track days I hardly ride on the road because you just can't get out of them what you can on track, plus I can't afford 2 bikes!!! Enjoy fella and I hope you wallet is large, anything remotely attached to the ducati name triples in price:wink:
