  1. Offering this here on Ducatiforum before anywhere else. This item is surplus to my requirements as I already have two of these!

Brand new HM Quickshifter (race pattern, fully integrated unit with built in adjustable strain gauge electronics) for Ducatis - fits 996/998/999/848/1098/1198, and probably the Streetfighter as well. I also had one of these fitted to my Monster S4RS and it worked brilliantly, with no issues.

This is the latest generation 2 integrated HM QS with adjustable ignition control and all the features of the 'Plus' edition in one very sexy anodized billet aluminium shifter. HM Quickshifters are simply the most reliable and best quickshifters available on the market - as used by most of the Moto2 paddock!

Plug and play fitment - no splicing of wires etc.

Detailed product information available here: HMQUICKSHIFTER :: The Next Generation Quickshifter
Installation and setup manual here: HM Quickshifter NEW manual - ENGLISH and SPANISH v4.4

    RRP is £458.

For Ducatiforum users only - £300 postage included.

    Bank transfer preferred.
    Thanks for looking!

  2. Oh cock!

I got all excited then....I'm looking for a conventional road shift pattern one. :frown:

  3. race shift is so much better Anth, takes a week or so to get used to but
it feels so much more natural.848 is the first conventional shift bike
I have owned in a long time and thats only because its outside my budget
    to convert.

  4. I must resist

  6. I'm the opposite....I've only used a race shift once, only for a few miles and kept on making an arse if it, so I've stayed clear since.
I should give it another go, but it could end up expensive if I couldn't get on with it.

  7. I done the same when I first went to reverse shift but once
I got used to it the gear changes felt quicker and also the upshift
on long left handers were easier.I rem riding the 848 back
from the showroom and kicking it down a gear at 70mph ops

  8. ^ this

It takes only a few miles and race shift becomes alot more natural. When pressing on, your weight is firm on the pegs and it's heck of lot easier to tap down than curl your toe under the peg and lift. Matching revs on downshifts is also easier lifting when the lifting motion is more deliberate than an accidental push down.

Should mention that these are extremely easy to install yourself (plug and play) and are fully reversible back to standard if you decide to sell your bike etc.

  9. Updated to add for clarification: included with the QS is the plug and play loom that just plugs inline to the existing cabling. ie, there is NO splicing/cutting of wires at all. Also, the unit does NOT require a Power Commander as it has all the circuitry to manage all the necessary electronics/injectors/etc.

£300 all in to anywhere in the UK.

  10. I had one of these from hm for my 996 and it was for a 3 wire coil loom. Mine is a 2 wire coil. Is your loom 2 or 3 wire?

  11. It is a 3 wire loom (HM only supply one loom for all Ducatis AFAIK)

  12. Is it still for sale?

Looking for a race pattern shifter for the 999r.
    cheers
