  1. I will take it off your hands I like a chalice I mean challenge :)

  2. I love Escher etchings - such a clever, thoughtful, thought-provoking artist. One of my favourites.

  3. ^ I totally agree, many of his works hold fascination and mystery for me

  5. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a jigsaw fan as such. I don't even do one a year on average. But I have become a bit of a fan of Wentworth puzzles. They are made of laser-cut wood and contain "whimsey bits"- shapes which have a link to the puzzle theme. If you're doing a garden, you might find a wheelbarrow or flowerpot or flower shapes (not necessarily upright). What is cooler is that you can have a puzzle made from a photo you upload. These are proving to be popular presents in my family (what can you give your ancient parents in their 80s?). So I am going to order a couple of others. And I think I am going to order a puzzle for me from this painting which is about my favourite of all time. It's Jean Dubuffet's "Cow with a Subtile Nose".

  7. But most Dubuffets look just like jigsaw puzzles in the first place.

  8. They do look as if they are made for jigsaws, I agree. Amazingly, you can't buy a poster (or a jigsaw, as far as I know) of that picture. Strange. it's a perfect picture for a puzzle or a poster.

  9. Charity quiz night. Sausage and chips. Loads of beer. JD&coke. Quality street roulette. Thats me fucked then.

  10. Took the SF over to Louigi-Moto for blue printing and tuning. Had a brew with Rich and talked Ducatis. Its in the right place. Roll on spring...

  11. I bought me a new bike!

It's red, has a trellis frame and a v-twin engine!

    Yes, that's right, it's a..........Suzuki SV650.

    Don't hate me.

  13. good to go?

  14. Not even seen a pic of it yet, but I know it'll be fine. It came about cos I was looking at one near me, I emailed a mate in the west country for advice cos he used to own one, turns out he still had it. Not been used in 5 years, but it's one-owner, dealer serviced, and he's had the suspension and brakes upgraded! He wants a new bike but his missus has told him he's got to sell some of his old ones first. All I've got to do is recommission it.

  15. cool, cool, i have given them serious thought in the past and probably will. owning ducati's has turned me in to a fair weather rider. at 200ba think i will start looking again.nice one.

  16. Started watching a video posted by a popular member on here earlier today. I don't even think 'highly controversial' covers it, and it's now been pulled as a result but I'm still glad he posted it. Obviously I won't be referring to it at all but I'm sure I'm allowed to say :- Elm Guest house.

  17. What a result very envious

  18. Ooh, you tease:Nailbiting:

  19. Didn't realize it had been pulled already. It's on YouTube for the whole world to see. Of course this forum gets a lot more web traffic so better to remove the link to it from here then....

  20. whole world ought to know if it's true but we can't go upsetting Rob/Matt this early in the morning. Re: last quote - I thought it went without saying that a forum site owner is perfectly entitled to include/not include any content he wishes.
