Paul Whatever it is you have, the most immediate issue is re-hydration. From the color of your urine you are badly De-hydrated, this needs urgent attention. As mentioned re-hydration salts such as dioralyte do the business very effectively, and are palatable and even delicious! available from Boots and Chemist etc. I've been where you are now on many occasions, one of the inevitable hazards of traveling in Laos Cambodia India etc. In my experience eating anything will only exasperate your condition, It's the fluid that you need to survive, a body can last for ages without food. Get advice from a professional asap. Get well soon. Maintaining a sense of humor despite the horror is also very therapeutic. I defy you not to crack up reading this very relevant post: Singletrack Magazine | The Picolax Thread Returns
Have you come into contact with animals recently, especially farm animals and their faeces?. Working with animals myself it sounds like an intestinal complaint that can be caused by cryptosporidium. It's a nasty bug that lives in animal faeces but can live in the environment where infected animals have been in the past as it is very hardy and resistant to disinfectants. Unfortunately there is no quick fix and it has to run its course which can take several weeks. As mentioned before keep drinking plenty of water with rehydration powders and eat as you feel. Hope you feel well soon pal.
A colleague of mine had this, he's now back at work after a week & a half off - part of the time off was for quarantine purposes. GWS fella, and stay hydrated.
Flat ginger beer is a good standby - you are less likely to bring it back up, because the ginger calms the stomach.
OK advice on dioralyte followed...yuk black current flavour...well if blackcurrants now taste like off fruit.
Sounds like your suffering. Has she got a hot sister or friend who she can swap with until she's better.
Normally a nine, but perhaps a 12\13 today. @Pete1950 given that data and a 14" lip how much capacity would each boot have for additional liquids?
deffo, :Hilarious::smile:, if it its what i had a couple of years back there aint nothing funny about it.
I've had the Picolax or at least the NHS version, which from memory was 3 stages....all very similar. Not for back end inspection, but to clear the way for radioactive dye that was injected into my kidneys or back. Nowadays I've a heated en-suite not a council house out toilet in February. The hardship isn't quite the same.
