Thought I'd say 'hi'. Have been riding bikes for over 25 years but picked up my first ever Ducati - a 1999 900SS with just 2,575 miles on the clock on Saturday. Is there anything I should look out for with this model? Going to keep her original, except maybe for some freer flowing end-cans to help that Ducati rumble. To say I'm jolly excited might be something of an understatement. Happy days
It is exciting owning a Ducati well worth the aching cheeks Hello and welcome to the Ducati mad house
Just bought my first duke also...a 10yr old 999. It had only done 1000mls since its major service (belts etc..), but that was 5 yrs ago, so decided to have it stripped down and checked by ducati specialist(not a dealer).Cost me best part of £700 in total for all the work that was done, but was worth it for piece of mind and highlighted any ongoing problems. I suggest you do the same if it hasn't already been done. Enjoy the ride, they are certainly different By the way...this is a great forum, loads of good advice.
Hello @general_piffle and welcome. You find all sorts of mayhem and madness here, including useful stuff. I've made friends and put names to faces to avoid at auto jumbles. Enjoy.
