Today I was Father Christmas in a shopping arcade. Had a really lovely time , best was when I said to a young boy,be good to your mum and I'm sure I will bring you all I can. He replies, I have 2 mummies, they are over there. Took me a minute to recompose myself. Also brilliant was a man with special needs,he still believed in Father Christmas 100%. He believed me when I told him I was 300 years old,and I will try my best to procure a Europa league football for him, even though he is a Spurs fan,and I'm a gooner. The best things in life are free!
I'd never been one for Xmas till a few years ago when I decided to think about it and plan for it well in advance. People now get the best and most thoughtful presents rather than last minute tat and I've had the best times since I started doing that
Choices choices, got home grown curry for tea-now the accompaniments - San Miguel, or Brakspears Oxford Gold....?
Brakespears every time, surely, even if it's no longer brewed in Henley. There's a good Fuller's golden ale too, but I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head.
My wife must have been sat for ten minutes tonight, wondering what to choose from the menu. Eventually I had to step in and select, "Play Movie."
I think in reality I bought the two bottles of Brakspears for the Sunday night treat, and sub-consciously the one bottle of San Miguel to go with the garlic chickened taste buds of tonites curry. Brakspears and venison steaks tomorrow eve I think....
Went to the free stargazing evening at winchester science museum - looked though some cool telescopes mainly at moon but also Pleiades and some far off galaxy - plus the planetarium show - good evening
