Then again, you're happy to use this site, which is the same kind of thing, is it not? Stupid fingers
No friendface or Twatter for me. Hate friendface with a vengeance. Things like "bought doughnuts today in waitrose, yum yum" Why the fuck would I want to know that!!!!!!!
The police have always announced that "... X has been charged with (specified) offence". There is nothing wrong with publishing the fact that X has been charged, if that is a fact. Of course everyone who is charged with anything is presumed innocent until proven guilty - publishing the fact of the charge does nothing to change that. The only change here seems to be use of Twitter as the format of publication (in addition to traditional newspapers, TV, radio, etc.). It is the use of the expression "named and shamed" in the article which is wholly inappropriate and inapplicable. Presuming the guilt of someone who has been charged is wrong, illegal and contemptuous.
So, when the police send a tweet or post on their wall to say they are coming to arrest you, you won't get any warning! Are you sure you don't want to use these very useful and worthwhile social tools? :Hilarious:
