  1. Would like some advice, wether to powder coat wheels and then spray or just do a good spray job. Want to do them Ducati Gold, back to original 750ss ie year 2000 Paint code is D928353 Palini Paint. Does anybody no the Ral No for this paint?

  2. second the powdercoat.

  3. I'd powder coat too, but doubt you'd get the exact colour match. A place i use has hundreds of colours, but not Ducati gold. So if you want genuine colour you may as well just get a refurb and spray job.

  4. Thanks Lads

  5. Hi, I powder coated my 998's frame swing arm and wheels a few years, its a great finish but once its scratched its scratched its scratched, unless materials have changed you can't t-cut minor scratches out as with paint.

  7. When you say 'Ducati Gold' is that the same 'gold' as the 1098R wheels. If so, then Hyundai Gold is an identical match.

  8. Looks good chum.I have went for a powder coat then sprayed, and a laquar top coat on the advice of the paint shop guy which means hopefully if they get a chip they can be repaired easily. How did you get the pipes so clean ?

  9. Thanks chum its the 750 ssie Matt gold

  10. yes laquar top coat sounds like a very good plan, it will defiantly protect the powder coating, as for the pipes i live close to a metal polisher, i would take them there once a year then just maintain them with solvo, a lot of admin though and wouldn't do it again. Nowadays for my 1198 70mm, a fixed 7 inch clarke grinder with a wire brush attachment is much easier to keep them clean.

  11. Did you ever get the closest RAL code m8?

  12. The thread is from 2014 and he seems to have not posted since 2015. I'm not sure you'll get a reply?
