Which tuner/engine builder/service centre in the country gets your vote for being the best, and why? I'll start, and will bugger it up by voting for 2, but only because they're on the same site. Louigi Moto & CJS Racing. Between them, but mainly Louigi Moto, have turned a good 996SPS into a 1037 putting out a bomb proof 140BHP with sublime fueling and all on bog standard heads. The personal service is so good that even if i don't see them for years he still knows me by name, and the prices are always realistic rather than being 'Well it's a Ducati, what do you expect?' high. CJS will be getting the heads really soon to squeeze out what he can too. They are the only people i trust to do things the way it should be done. jean grey xmen
I'll vote for Rich and Chris at Lougi and CJS. Chris did a superb job of remapping my SF and I remember him saying at the time that the only other dyno tuner he would recommend would be BSD performance in Peterborough.
Ducati Coventry /JHP Ducati service centre of the year I think. They have turned a good OE factory 916SPS into a much lighter one with a reliable (34,000mls now)137HP.After John Hackett worked his magic on the dyno it was so smooth but noticeable instant power delivery and pulling stronger everywhere.I even noticed the difference riding it up the big ramp out the service area. Rick Hackett and Buzz have advised on parts and stuff they would steer clear of either due to quality or my intended road use from there vast experience.John Hackett has spent many hrs just talking me through what can be done or showing me other stuff they are working on after getting a brew on of course.
Yes only after dyno work lol but the most important thing to me was that it felt noticeably improved on fuelling and power delivery /throttle response as soon as I jumped back on it.
Shourn. Isn't this my thread from a couple of years ago? If you want i put one after about getting 150BHP out the old dog which you're more than welcome to open again as Louigi Moto and CJS deserve all the publicity they can get.
JHP get my vote. Excellent advice and service from John & Rick Hackett... Fixed a problem with my 748 that 3 other dealers could not find; let alone fix...
I can vouch for @CJS too and even though Rich never touched my bike, if I ever wanted a tune up I'd take it to LM. I really liked the ethos there.
