Confession time

  1. I feel the need to confess my sin of the week.................... It started with me thinking that wouldn't it be good if you could get someone to professionally clean your bike and do people exist that do it. This resulted in me looking on the web and to my amazement there are actually people that do it. Better still I have such an individual local to me. After all that effort of searching (30 seconds) I thought I would give it a go. Said bloke turned up and spent 2 hours on the bike, had all the gear and knew exactly what he was doing. No pressure washer in site. I know I'm a lazy fooker but I work hard. Thank you for allowing me to confess

  2. You will be forgiven only after three hail Marys and you go out and get it dirty again....

  3. Thank you for your understanding. Hail Marys completed and bike will be very dirty following tomorrow's ride out

  4. So how much was it? Sounds like a great idea. Did the fairings come off or was it only the bits you can see?

  5. Morning Glidd. Fairings off and every thing done £44 (£22 per hour) I thought it was good value

  6. No no no you are missing something. Half the fun is in the cleaning and polishing. Its a bit zen you go to another place and your mind becomes calm. After a couple of hours in the garage I feel a rejuvinated human being and at one with the world. To be honest I can not go in the garage without polishing something on it. Even if I have to use me shirt to do it. You need to get your ying and yang sorted out mate.

Regards Steve ( ex hippy )

  7. You are so right Steve. It was just a moment of madness and laziness. Does look nice though :upyeah:

  8. Gardening, esp weeding: zen chill-out moments surrounded by nature, hands in earth etc.
Motorcycling: utter concentration high-speed noisy death-defying stuff.

Thats the yin and yang for me. Cleaning bike doesn't come into it. But filthy bike is not an option. Hence mine normally looks superficially clean. But don't look too closely.

  9. £44 seems pretty good when you consider he has to travel , and I assume supply consumables not just an oily rag and a kleenex.

  10. I'm with you on that one.
The best bit of any trip was coming back and washing then polishing Dizzy and putting her away tidy.
    :)

  11. The best bit was the cleaning??? WTF?

You could just stay at home and clean your house! Cheaper, safer and probably more useful.

  12. God no housework what's that! oh hang on as I have no Dizzy I have resorted to polishing the house :) instead

There is something nice about shiny red :-D
