848 Standard Or Custom

  1. The question here is why?. It's not my thing but it doesn't look too bad, but I'd be wondering why the mix and match bodywork. Usually means one thing - something unfortunate has happened at some point in its past.

  2. I'd question whether those are modded standard cans as well

  3. I like it, might consider buying a matt white Evo if I ever find one and mixing it with matte black.

  4. Defo an evo so why no stickers on side panels? Could be after market ones

  5. They had matte black platics fitted as standard

  6. Didnt see Evo sticker either so thought it might be the old standard 848 in pearl white, but saying that they never had red rims as standard, am only on mobile so cant get a good picture :(

  7. No mono blocks!

  8. Yes. And the frame mounted steering damper mount. Weren't he engine casings on the evo black? Not too sure now...

  9. Looks like someone is in for a surprise when they buy it,

Two or three bikes in one ?

  10. Yeah they are 2011-04-05.jpg 2011-05-07 -01.jpg

  11. As you can see the standard 848 had a grey frame, just looked at that bike on ebay again and where the light glints of the tank I would say it was a gloss/pearl white, the Evo never came in gloss white. 2010-10-24-01.jpg

  12. Evo wasn't gloss white, was perl white matte

  13. Matte black lowers, mono blocks, frame mounted damper

  14. I was saying that the way the light glinted on the tank IT LOOKED gloss/pearl.

And evo was not pearl matte, it was just a flat matte white no pearl look to it.

  15. the dogĀ“s danglies! that bike looks mint! makes me want to jump in van and drive down for the seat unit now! ;-)

  16. Mine was see pic above, it had a sheen to it and a slight fleck, not pearl as much as some others but not lat white either

  17. Pearl or pearlescent is used to describe a glossy off white colour.

  18. Hasn't got the Evo's black swing arm and black footrests. No monoblocks either. But has the steering damper mount? So I'd say frame must be a evo or a 1098/1198. But the rest of bike looks like a normal 848. Bet there's a story with that bike.

  19. ex-racebike i reckon.
