Jalopy acquired I'll post a pic as soon as I see it in daylight. I think it's blue. Or green. But it's got a working radio and a cup holder so job done. Very comfy it is, and somewhat rattly; could be something rattling round a cubby hole, I found 14 cubby holes. Why would anyone need 14 cubby holes? One of the cubby holes had another cubby hole inside it! Does anyone know how to convert MP3 to cassette..?
Couldn't find anyone, but it could take weeks to be sure. I'll have to be dead careful when I take it to the Albanian carwash...
I bought a map of the world to hang in my house today. The plan is to put pins into all the locations in the world that I've travelled to. First of all, I'm gonna have to travel to the top two corners of the map so that it won't fall off the wall
IIRC last time was the Man City squad, this time I see you have gone for Liverpool. Brendan looks suitably nervous (centre top row), but who's the one with no clothes on (top row, 3rd from right) next to Balotelli. You really have captured Daniel Sturridge's leg injury (far left, top row) and Steevey Gerrard nervously waiting for his new contract (far right top row). Excellent. Looking forward to next year and Chelsea. Mr Bimble
:Stop::Brb: works departmental Christmas lunch at the holiday inn today - only 200 of us, what could possibly go wrong?
No. I just work in a completely atypical Swiss business: completely disorganised, no communication, inability to prioritise or even attempt to do more than one thing at a time, no desire to help anyone learn anything or improve, no vision, no planning. A Christmas dinner in August is just symptomatic of the whole.
They normally are, although the Swiss Germans think the French Swiss are flakey, and the Italian Swiss so flakey that retiring there is like retiring to Greece. The French Swiss just think that the Italian speakers have probably more in common with real Italians than with the rest of Switzerland - ie, unreliable. What is obvious though, is when you drive into Italian-speaking Switzerland from Milan, you are immediately aware that you are now in Switzerland. It looks... organised.
I'll tell you in a minute what I haven't done, today. Yesterday I spent most of a 10 and a half hour day trying to rebuild a user's laptop after replacing the HDD. I'll spare you the dull details but it was bloody hard work and pretty chancy whether it was going to succeed. I finished it last night, and handed it back to the user this morning. I have now been informed that the user has forgotten the hard disk drive encryption password she set earlier today. She managed to use the laptop for twenty minutes before rendering it unusable. I now need to rebuild it again. Today, I haven't choked a user to death. I'm pretty fracking proud of myself right now.
Last night me and SWMBO went to see Chris Rea in concert in Sheffield. Awesome guitarist, great voice. Shit "Dad dancer" This morning I have been to see my grandson in his first school nativity play. He was a brilliant sheep This evening we are going out for a meal with @MATT46 and his lovely wife.
