Just bought from Tesco - free MCN included with 2014 Sports Review. Ducati 999: Yours For £4K! Cool, fast, now great value. Admit it, you want one... it says on the cover. Not read yet but I'm sure it will be interesting for 999 fans...
Main article is a Bi Posta but still looks good, great pictures! Good article on the 999 racers too. Good two pages on the 1299 and more Ducati content in the 360 degree Garage so worth a look for those interested - still not read the articles but I can't see much info on the S and R models which is a shame. Oh, main article and front cover is Guy Martins Martek Turbo Pike Peak Bike...
I never buy PB either, but I bought this one to read the 999 article. I'm inclined to agree with the general giste of the article - they certainly ARE more popular than when they first came out. I admit it: i used to be one of those who instantly disliked them - coming from a never dying love of the 916 design, I could never see the front end ever catching on! I'm finding myself liking them more and more over the years though....
Hahaha! - good God man!!! You must have seen the Scrambler at the show?! oh dear! ..... oh dear ... oh dear ... oh dear.... :Asshat:
Haven't bought any type of mag in years, although my wife recently found a couple of S & M mags under our son's bed. "What should we do about it ?" she asked me. "Well, for one thing, I ain't gonna spank him"
Oh....Em.....Gee!!! :Wideyed: ....can I come and play? Can I? Go on, can I?!.... I'll be good, and won't touch anything, I promise!
You can't see the front end when you're riding it. And if you're riding it properly nor will anyone else. They'll only see the back end. And there's nothing wrong with the 999's bottom.
Not much wrong with any of it IMO. ...I still don't understand why people disliked them in the first place! I bought this mag just to read the article on 999's, quite enjoyed it even tho I wouldn't usually go anywhere near pb.
As Terblanche said at the time, and I think MCN mentioned it as well, he always said he thought it would eventiually come into it's own - I think he expected it would be received as "ahead of it's time" - and indeed, it has come to pass! we are all beginning to see it as a beautiful piece of work.. OK, not quite on a par with the 916, but taken the marque on a leap and a bound! I expect you have all read "Ducati 999 - Birth of a Legend" by Alan Cathcart & Marc Cook?! fascinating book and well worth catching yourself a copy off fleabay if you get a chance!... there will only be, of course, one 998!....:Smug:
I've been away for a few weeks so may have missed it, but has nobody mentioned your 360 degree garage article in PB last month Exige? Class!
