I'll be interested to see what it looks like in a year or two, will it be like those cheap Chinese bicycle tyres that perish after about 6 months?
That's a fair comment. But it's a huge leap from what I used last season! Last year I fabricated the reservoir bracket from "99p for ten" little brackets from a hardware store. The hose clips were the brembo ones but they are nothing special. The reservoir looks as good as anything brembo make. So if the rubber goes, fair enough. If it needs refreshing so be it, it's only about £2 for a metre! Still, a lot cheaper than brembo rip off reservoir kit. £50. Crazy money!!
I have used the small carbon Brembo reservoir lids that are made in Thailand and they are still fine after a number of years. The worse that should happen is the clear plastic of the reservoir discolours after a certain time. For that price you don't have much to lose.
It wouldn't be that long! Buy a brembo radial brake master cylinder. Fit to bike. Fit brake lines. Fit reservoir. Bleed brakes. Go on the ducati forum. Job done!
The reservoir itself is fine. Totally good enough. The small amount of rubber pipe was okay too but the bore was a little large. The brackets have lots of adjustability but I think they are made of cheese. They are worth the money. 7/10
Why do they have to be radial? Is it not possible to simply convert the existing ones then, by removing the integral reservoirs and replacing with hoses and remote reservoirs? That's what I would have hoped...
That's a shame, that's probably the tricky bit, that and where to position the reservoirs. Any pics??
