Levers

  1. What no hooker with the Chinese ones! No wonder they're cheap!

  2. Because on the 999 at any rate they are naff looking silvery things and the bike is black. I seem to remember the ones on the 916 were much nicer, but I could be wrong - I haven't had the bike for 10 years now.

It's like why would you change all sorts of bits for carbon ones that don't do the job any better. Aesthetics.

  3. Would you put a set of Chinese discs on your bike ?? i would say no and ASV feel and look good

  4. What if you had a chinese bike?

  5. As I said earlier and Glidd mentioned, you pay your money and take your chance.

Personally I try to use reputable 'Brands' for important stuff (Andrex or Charmin is a must) and wouldn't use the stuff that sounds like a Golf but isn't on any safety related items.

Loads of people are happy with their purchase and I'm happy with mine. :upyeah:

  6. Personally........I'd walk!

  7. Agreed, buy nice or buy twice

Also the way I look at it is this, how will I feel after Iv bought the cheaper item if I then see the better/more expensive item on someone else bike and realize that id made a mistake ( for aesthetics or quality ) would i regret saving a few quid? After all in the long run if you had to replace the cheap item for aesthetics or quality then it will have cost a lot more in the end. and theres a reason why they cost more, and the reality unfortunately for the reason they cost more is because they are better and have the reputation. U pay for what you get.
But there are times when something costs more than u can afford or justify, in which case buy the cheaper one and be happy

  8. If your eyes are that good why ask what other people think?
    :upyeah:

  9. Is that not the point of a forum ?

  10. It seems to me your mind is pretty much made up, so why bother asking? Your always going to get opinions which like arseholes we all have.

  11. Oh and the search button will always reveal posts re levers, probably just a little less popular than 'where do I put my tax disc'? and what tyres do I use on my.....'?

  12. Handbags is it ?

  13. In my racing days I fitted cheap £10 levers, and you would think racing you'd need to ensure the brakes are well maintained and not scrimped on, never had an issue and the odd crash didn't cost that much.

  14. This posting has gone a bit of track originally I was asking about longer/shorter levers Pazzo or ASV, personally I would not use Chinese levers the reason being their materials are of a poor quality and made from scrap metal imported from Europe, I did once purchase a set of these levers from ebay which I felt in my opinion were not a quality product I could tell this by the weight and how and what they were put together with, I know many people are happy using these levers but they're not for me.
I hope this clears up any misunderstanding and I have bought ASV and not Pazzo because I prefer the looks of where the adjuster is.

  15. Don't forget the pictures when they're fitted. :upyeah:

  16. Italian kit on an Italian bike for me

  17. The ASV are going back as i'm not liking the looks of them (the big spring at the front) so Pazzo's next

    Rich

  18. You canny go wrong with Pazzos in my experience. Expensive but brilliant.

  19. Nope. The main aim is to get all the birds on here to post topless pics of themselves
