Recent research indicates that the Kindles that have their own backlight (i.e. you can still see the screen in the dark) are bad for your sleep patterns. The unlit (original) Kindle is better for you. According to research. All I can tell you is I love my basic un-lit original Kindle. You need a light to read it by but hey - it's a book, isn't it? My advice - stay away from the backlight screen versions. I look at enough computer screens, every day.
I love the whole idea of a book. Low tech, won't go wrong, doesn't need charging, not made of stuff dug out of a mine in some third world country by shit-poor peasants, and it won't be going back to a Calcutta slum or a Senegalese rubbish dump to be taken to bits in a few years time when it has died. The book will sit on my shelf, quietly, forever, consuming no resources.
In sunny Malta for Xmas - strange that all the ancient buses have disappeared, probably sold on to Cuba

You should know not to bring it home with you at your age, so behave now - Santa has set off but is still watching! :Watching:
Me and the wife danced hand-in-hand round the Christmas tree this afternoon. Now our faces, hands and arms are full of scratches, but I s'pose that's to be expected as there was only the two of us
