  1. some fuel filters are expensive, if i mind right an after market filter for a jtd costs me 30 odd quid plus vat, so a genuine v.w.filter (my arse)it will be a mann, could be that much from a dealer. as you know you can always buy cheaper on the net.
once you take off the mistake that was made with the oil, that's a freekin cheep service.
whats an oil filter change cost on yer 899?shouting and bawling solves nothing.

  2. That coming from a grease monkey AND a Scotsman!!

  3. Have you got two vans?

Maximum on any transporter is 7.5L, assuming an engine rebuild....many models are less 5L to 7L.
We've a sportline and the dealer always rips me off, but I need the manufacturers warranty.
Charged me 11.99 for 1L of screen wash...when I pointed out it came in full, they just gave me a bottle and said it's automatically on the invoice.

I love the vans....hate the dealer.

  5. Tbh i am not going to loose any sleep over it and i was happy with the servicing price and have been happy with the 12 or so previous services they have done, just pissed off that things like this still happen, without boring you with all the details there are a catalogue of minor errors, probably due to it being christmas eve and wanting to get finished.I will take the van back on Monday to get the pollen filter changed and i want the oil filter changed as i cant tell if this has been changed and hopefully a good bit of discount for my troubles.

  6. That's a dirty trick. That would have had me having a massive sense of humour failure. They'd be getting that right back and told to get it automatically off the bloody invoice!

  7. I did (sense of humour failure and refund)...and won't be using them again.
I've a few VW dealers very close to me.
