To be fair some people ride like a twat out of hell down there.
If I lived local I'd be livid as well.
I always take it easy down there, around the residential area and especially horses / kids on bikes etc.

As for the Lycra cyclists this is what they see in their heads

More than 20 residents turned up for the meeting at the Chalet Cafe on the A281 on December 12 to raise their concerns about noise and safety on their local road. One resident referred to the ‘toxic’ mix of cyclists, motorbikes, cars, horses and agricultural traffic all using this stretch of the A281.
A local mother told Mr Herbert of her fear of walking on the narrow pavements in Shermanbury with her toddler because motorbike traffic is often speeding along the road.



Well I am so sorry that we are using the MAIN road along with other traffic... exactly what it was built for!!
If the mother has a fear of walking on narrow pavements then that is a job for her local council to make them wider, no any fault of a motorcyclist or any other traffic using the Main road. Aiming at the minority of road users implying that we speed all the time is a misconception and one I don't like.

 

Wow 20 residents, was that the whole village? Non motorcyclists have the perception bikes are speeding when they're not, I saw a programme where they had several age ranges, several different bikes, colours and exhausts, the red bike with noisy exhaust was deemed the fasted when it approached even though it was the same speed as all the others, they did several speed tests with the pedestrians to see if they could judge the speed

 

Bloody bikers, noise polluting speed demons with no consideration for either road users or pedestrians...... WE ROCK
