  1. If your looking for a s/h set look on ebay.

  2. Saw them this morning, he's got a few other bits and bobs for sale too :upyeah:

Be interesting to see what they eventually go for.

  3. At a guess! £400-£450 ?

  4. Best description for selling an item I've ever seen.

  5. I think they could even go for more than that, bound to have a lot of interest as they don't come up that often. they look in good nik too :upyeah:

  6. Oh My £623 end bid

    Are they worth it??

  7. How much are they new?

  8. You can get them from the states off ebay for about £600 which includes a K&N filter but you have to pay the import tax ! To buy them in this country will cost you a bloody site more

  9. I did not bid on them, just mentiond they went for £600+

Way way outside my price range!!

  10. I would have had them, now that I have had a chance to get mine off..............but he would have had to take about 800 army clothing buttons for them instead of £££s.

That's the trouble when illness means clients p*ss off and don't come back.

  11. Sorry mate your post read like you'd won them

  12. Or get a friend who lives in the states and buys them...
Send them a paypal payment as a gift, get them to buy them, and send them to you as a gift around christmas time

  13. Doesnt always work...if HMCR decide they want duty paid, gift or no gift, you dont get them delivered till its paid....10% import duty on the cost plus delivery, then VAT on the lot at 20%.....

  14. Yup...that's why I try to avoid it...got caught out real bad on a none bike purchase......DrDuke, however;.... in Ireland, seems to get away with it....Oi rackon it's the luck of t'Oirish...

  15. I remember back in my downhill mtb days people buying tickets to the States to pick up new frames & forks etc - taking an old scrap frame over as luggage, dumping that whilst over there posting the reciepts on ahead to there home address and bringing back a new 'un.

  16. I was watching the previous set and was amazed to see them sell for north of £600. Its probably about a third of the value of my whole bike. If it was about £400-£450, I would have had a bid. How about buying a bank of 4, then splitting them? Should be cheaper...

  17. Indeed! Read something about that before but cant remember... I think you can only use the middle pair as a paired set?

  18. Hmmm, Pesky internet forums.... Now look what you have made me do!

  19. So, FCRs on the way! I only hope that they are as good as everyone says they are! I'll strip them down to check jets, float heights and needle positions etc. Then it might be time to have a fiddle.

Got JEs already, with Dyna Coils, modded flywheel for 2° less max advance, K&N filter, and Silmotor high level carbon cans, mated to the stock headers. It was making 84BHP on a Dynojet dyno with the stock carbs. Need to get around to fitting those adjustable cam pulleys too.

Maybe the weather is going to be a bit crappy this week, so I can crack on!
