So what have you done today..?

There were a few...Seventies/en-route to Snetterton/the ubiquitous stop at the Red Lodge cafe for coffee,(how metropolitan!) and bacon rolls...the thunder of a V-twin revving it's guts out followed by a split second of silence followed by someone cursing quite loudly,at,it seemed,a motorcycle.
Poor bugger had lost his gear lever,presuming it to have vibrated off since he last swapped cogs-the torquey old Ducati lump meant that was sometime ago,so no hope of going back to find it.
I "loaned" him a pair of mole grips,(I was riding a BSA,so these fell naturally to hand...), so he could continue,not stylish but saved his day...never did get the moleys back,didn't expect it tbh.
Believe it or not though there was a Ducati dealer in Biggleswade called Bryants...just down the road from Wilderspins,(real name).
Two bike shops in the same street in a no-dad little town in nowheresville...they truly were the days...

 

Brought wife and a cousin who's come over from Spain, down to London for a day out. Left them in Oxford street then travel to Bethnal Green to meet up with Ray from Rosso corse. He kindly came in today even though they're closed while Monday. Bought a couple of bits off him and spent nearly 2 hours sifting through his man cave. I suppose a lot of people on here know him, or of him but for those who don't, top bloke and always willing to negotiate on price. This place is a goldmine!

Worked quite a bit over Christmas & new year otherwise I'd of climbed the wall !!!

Well went down and saw the last couple of bits being done on my new toy, expected deliver Saturday 10th of January I am not excited at all

Recently took a job after 21 years as a self employed man. Love it. So i went to work today to prep for next week. Should of took the bike!

Once I have it at home I will get some proper pics of it, its got a colour display dash.

 

I became the red and white power ranger... Yes, deliberately eye bleeding..
