  1. Sorry I am too excited about my new bike! ( and it's not a ducati ) I was tempted....Thought I had beat the temptation..... Then went to look today and it was all over.... Don't panic though my 998 is still with me, I have swapped my Tuono, which although a great bike is getting a bit long in the tooth and does not make my heart pump like my 998... Or my new blade.....No gadgets just a simple great sportbike. I wasn't even looking really for a new bike but the winter bargain I couldn't turn down! I was even persuaded to get it by my wife, I usually have to do the persuading.... You know the story I NEED a new bike because etc etc etc.... now just need the weather to change image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

  8. Same colour?

  9. Nah... It would silly to have a white washing machine... Graphite = Kitchen... White ( and red ) = Garage!

  12. Having rode the nearly new Blades at the Ron Haslam school early in the year, I must say they are amazing bikes. There's definately something to be said for a perfectly executed basic motorbike without all the extras. The Blades are so amazingly easy to ride really fast.

  13. should have got the urban tiger one though !

  14. I love blades. Before i got my rsv4 thats what i was on the lookout for ( and what i thought what i was going to end up with) but the rsv4 came up so i had that. Ive never owned anything with fairing before so i would have been happy with anything! I think theyre probably the best looking sportsbike out there along with the rsv4. That looks really nice. Good shout.

  15. I have a 2003 blade as well my dukes, amazing bike, lives outside in the cold -3 recently and starts on the button every morning.
Goes like stink and handles beautifully.

When you say Bargain, how much of a bargain?

  16. Another follower of the blade. Great bike. Let me know when and what upgrades you are going to do?
    ABS or non ABS model??

  17. Good choice mate - I bought the same model new nearly 3 yrs ago and it does everything, just so easy to ride. Done over 10k mainly touring on it, still keep a couple of old classic Duc's for a sunday spin though:upyeah:

I know it's a matter of preference, but only made 2 x mods to the Blade and must say am really happy with them.
    1. Evo-tech tail tidy to get rid of that God-damned ugly number plate bracket
    2. Genuine stompgrips for the tank.
And if you're thinking of going long hauls abroad, the Ventura luggage is spot-on and brackets take 5 mins to fit.
    Enjoy!

  18. Better wash your hands now :)

  19. Hi all,
Its the non-ABS model, my old blade I had a while ago was a abs model and don't think I ever noticed the difference so got non-ABS....
I definately need to get a tail tidy was going with R&G but will look into evotech. It is a fantastic bike that is so easy to ride, but what is with the incredibly slippy seat! I decieded ( even though still running it in ) to redline it in 3rd on my way back the other day and I nearly slid onto the pillion seat with only my finger tips holding the throttle open which was quite an experience! SO next on my shopping list.... grippy seat, stompgrips, then tail tidy and racefit.... and I think that is all I am going to do... at the moment anyway.
