been looking at rad and header guard for a while, finally decided on altriders as hear their gear is quality, just wondering if anyone had first hand experience. I did do a quick search but nothing specific came up. Also anyone using the touratech locking mount for the Zumo 590, any good?
Well ~ installed the ALTRIDER Cylinder Head Guard late May 2014 during a regular Ducati MTS service and took ff after a few month as not up to the job.... pics say more than words.... Installed the old MTS engine guard bought of Ebay two years ago again as holding up with no cracks for 2 years... side-note: the black anodising on the MTS alloy header guard comes off easily, had my old one powered coated black and lasted two+ years, looks like this one needs a decent high quality black powder coating.... All my other Altrider parts holding up fine and no negative feedback or complaints....
no dramas and very happy with AltRider Luggage Rack (black) for Ducati Multistrada 1200 and AltRider Crash Bars (black) and Frame Slider Kit (black) for Ducati Multistrada 1200. AltRider Cylinder Head Guard (black) for the Ducati Multistrada 1200 not up to the job and the AltRider Header Guard (black) for Ducati Multistrada 1200 should be good again for a while after a new black powder coating. well ~ must admit I take my MTS to places others won't ride a Ducati and we have a lot of crap on the roads over here in China.... Evotech-Performance has a few MTS parts under development and waiting for them in the moment. Have the oil cooler / radiator guards installed and no complaints and very secure installation (no double sided tape mounting as other brands).
double check please as far as I recall only Evotech-Performance has (had) a solid mounting via screws but things might have changed and other parts manufactures followed, installed my Evotech-Performance oil cooler / radiator guards three years ago. not a big fan of double sided tape and / or cable ties for guard mounting.... very happy with my EP guards, absolutely no complaints and about to order a second set as standby as hard for us to get parts over here....
