I find this whole thing really funny. Imagine all our different lives and how tidy/organised/disciplined we all are and how much variation there is in our personalities........and we're all circulating in the same melting pot of this forum. Its not surprising we want different things from it. I remember living in student halls/houses with people who were, quite frankly, disgraceful. Couldn't look after themselves, never did any washing up, nicked/borrowed other peoples food (he was called James). Then you'd chuck in a mature student or a geek or someone with a superiority complex (he was called Colin) and it would be like a grenade going off. Stand up arguments, padlocks on doors, crockery piled up outside rooms to be washed up or thrown away. As someone who's pretty laid back it was hilarious to watch because neither of them was going to win! We're never going to stop people having the odd in joke or taking a thread off track so they can have their own amusing back and forth (James). By the same token, some people just come on here for technical stuff and will correct your spelling/grammar or tell you to grow up (Colin). What amazes me is that its so polite! If it was a Gixer forum there'd be threats of physical injury by now Im sure (although Im not sure Colin would own a Gixer). You don't have to be either of these people, but if you are, thanks for providing the entertainment for the rest of us
Thats what makes a forum great , all the different types of people and personalities with 1 common interest. Theres the piss-takers, technical guys and the ones just that just come on for info/help. Everyone contributes in their own way. Even folk im not fond of still contribute and help others and one day might help me or i might be able to help them. Ive only blocked one person (about 1- 2years ago) and that was because he felt the need to post pictures of his girlfriend on every thread for no reason.
Seeing as only you now James or Colin, past the initial reference the rest only makes sense to you. Go and buy some aircon.
Maybe he was just very proud of her. Most of the threads end up of topic but there are a lot of funny anecdotes and have made me chuckle. I will say though that the for sale thread should not be hijacked with witticism. Someone is seriously trying to sell something and if a buyer has to trawl through a load of drivel it might put them off.
Im proud of my girlfriend but never felt the need to add a picture of her to a for sale thread for a left phalange. Im not talking once a week, it was literally every blinking thread. Others agreed as i got loads of messages at the time asking who i was blocking as id asked how to do it on the forum
Clearly I'd missed the readers wives bit......may be i wasn't on the forum at the time. If it the was the summer I'd be out on the Ducati, unless it was Summer 2011 then it was hospital. Your resident refrigeration emporium owner is called Paul, for those that haven't had the pleasure yet.
WTF do you do for a living.... They are some big chillers....huge building or industrial processes? My biggest ever order was £100K and that was a whole hotel. Biggest last year was £40K, most are £3-10K commercial and £1.8-3K domestic. My 2013 MTS1200 PP is my favourite ride, however the 998S is the most beautiful, albeit a pain in the arse/back and wrists after 30 miles.
I have two Gixers unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:unch:
Ah...looking at your location I think I can guess who you work for....are your wages paid from a Barclays bank account?
