Well, I heard back from Ducati and they want £210.00 for a shorty carbon screen as on the Pike's Peak. That is NOT a typo... £210.00 bloody quid!!! FCUK THAT!!!!! I know Ducati bits are pricey bits of gorgeousness, but that's taking the p1ss. My search goes on. Even considering doing the DIY job now!!!!!
Now you understand why some guys cut their standard screen down. I know it is still expensive but if you look further there are people selling the carbon screens for £150 (yes I know it's not much better).
Please do also bare in mind the short screens do not stop the wind - they just reduce the buffeting. So it may be an idea to try to get a lend of one to try before you buy. Hope this helps... Chris.
David I've just ordered a Puig sport screen from M&P who still had the light smoke version in stock, unless I got the last one. I tried a couple of other places and was indeed told out of stock until October. Hope that helps.
Yeah.... I was after "Dark Smoke" ....black bike see... ;-) Thanks anyway Shaun... I placed a back order with BR tuning. Brian says "October", but they could possibly come in September. Erm, ok... ;-) Be interested to hear how you find it....
In the end M & P sent the wrong screen, so finally got the right screen today, it's been so long I'd almost forgotten I'd ordered it, must fit it and try it out.
Don't tell me....they sent you a dark smoke! ;-) I'm still waiting... Mid November for dark smoke apparently... :-(
I got it from BRS not M & P in the end. It's smoke, looks pretty dark but still think it's the lighter option not the very dark one.
he did say those had come in, but not the really dark ones, which is what I'm getting (when it arrives...mid Nov)
