Cat D is only cosmetic damage though aint it, new carbon fairing 2,500K plus few other bits to get back to road worthy, or he is doing a custom job and gonna drop the engine in a cafe racer or better still a Harley

I'd go for the 1299s has electronic gear change on left bar like paddle shift in motor and goes up and down no clutch

 

I'm led to believe that is doesn't have a paddle shift at all. Those buttons are just to flip through the menus.

It does however have an up and down quickshifter.

 

the standard is £16,500 ? or so I heard and the S is the same price as 1199s £20,300 not much difference there?

 

The Ducati guy on the Ducati stand told me that the buttons were for shifting up and down the gears. its tucked underneath the bar
