She passed her A levels and is off to uni in september. She`d been all doom and gloom after every exam but she ended up with A`s in maths and physics and B`s in biology, chemistry and general studies, more than she needed for the course she wants to do. Might have been an A in biology as well if the wally hadn`t mixed photosynthesis and respiration up. I`m so very very proud of her, but also a bit sad cos she`ll be moving out to live on campus, then Dad`s taxi and general dogsbody service will have lost it`s only customer . I know one thing for sure, the world of bio medical science doesn`t know what its let itself in for. You go Girlie  .
Congratulations, nice to hear some good news. Hope she has fun at uni! I'm sure Dads taxi will have plenty to do still, even if it's not as regular as now.
I dare say Dads taxi service will have to be morphed into Dads finacial support and lending institution, congrats to your daughter
Thanks for the kind and supportive replies guys . Maw and Paw can`t really take any of the credit, she`s done it all herself with hard work and dedication. Just getting some new business cards made up Dads taxi, general dogsbody and laundry collection service. Thank god she`s only off to Hull, I think???.
You would think that once they move out thats it but no........ had to go down to Plymouth to put up shelves.......from Weymouth and then when her/our first little one arrives in January.....guess where I'll be driving each weekend:smile:
You know if you get an A and two B's that she has the option of choosing a 'better' university and many of them are offering discounts on fees as an incentive. You may find most of the places have gone or if she has formally accepted then it could be too late. Mine got A*BB - she was supposed to get AAB for her first choice but they took her anyway, and then she was told she qualified for a busary to pay £1,000 off her fees for each year of the 4 year course.
Well done your daughter, glad she got her first choice . Hull was my daughters first choice, she said it was one of the best ones for bio medical science. She got her acceptance letter same day as her results. I wanted her to go to Lincoln, when I go to visit her I could go on my bike via Market Rasen, Lissington and Wragby. Good biking roads . I think she also qualifies for that bursary payment. Dads removal service and slave to "carry all me stuff" has been booked for 22nd September, I think. Mum`s bedroom cleansing service is ready to move in on 23rd September, flamethrower at the ready .
