ha bloody ha! I certainly did not flatter myself that that was the case. You have no idea how many thousands of words come to a news agency during an event such as that. They just needed more bodies to process them.
You read the wrong papers. And papers are businesses. Really worthy ones such as News on Sunday go out of business because "the pubic gets what the public wants". It's called capitalism and consumer power. The alternative is a state-sponsored press. Is that what you want?
