I suspect he didn't like the alleged increasingly unfriendly atmosphere here. Sorry to see him go, though, he was good guy.
I was thinking the same thing. I also got the sense there was some kind of crisis brewing, he said on a number of occasions that he hated his job.
Same thing with a few other members I've pm'd, no longer using the forum as pissed off with atmosphere/spelling police etc...
They are trying to wind you up by implying that looking at the status of Boots account makes you a stalker.
It was a genuine OP which coincided with my own thoughts, it shouldn't be taken as an opportunity to make jokes IMHO. Boots was an interesting contributor.
Gulp. A bit slow there. Thanks for putting me out of my misery! I was just looking at the notable member list, happened to mouse over his name and a pop-up appeared saying that he had requested his account to be deleted. I'd never have known otherwise. One minute he's super active, the next he's like.... gone, man! Sob! TBH, I ought to have my account deleted too and get on with my life. But I might suddenly need you all to help me fix my Ducati.
