  2. Ok keep me posted for the next time you know its going to be more than a bimble

  3. Pretty much the same, enjoy groups but prefer people who ride in the same style. Never ridden with eyore on her Duke, but she aint slow on her sprint !

  4. Will do

  5. Yeah, I've been reading about your desires in a thread about piercings !

  6. Used to be only on my own, until other half passed his bike test 3 years ago. Now Sunday bimbles and biking holidays tend to be with him on his Z1000SX, although the ride to WDW and back was solo. I'm not a fan of big group rides. I know I'm slow - I'm the sort of dawdler who doesn't overtake cars that winds up glidofglood.

  7. I generally prefer riding on my own, however I do often ride with a close friend as he is about the only guy I trust enough to not have to worry about what he's doing, and can relax and enjoy the ride with. He's either Kawasaki (ZXR 750) or Suzuki (RF600) mounted.. My Brother shows his VFR750 the light of day so infrequently that I have only ever ridden with him once. He's had it 13 years and done 1000 miles on it.

  8. Mainly on my own. I'm actually going to Europe for the first time on my own in sept. However I do track days with a good group of friends.

  9. Cant stand riding on my own. Nothing more boring to me. But maybe thats as most I ride with ride at similar pace, which can be brisk, and a couple have the same competitive nature as I do.

But alone also means stopping and no one to chat with, whereas I love a bit of banter and again luckily so do the guys around me!

Most ride Ducatis but thats how it is rather than pre requisite. I'll ride with anyone as long as its a laugh...I get bored easy

  10. Depends what we are doing. When we go abroad it's almost always just the two of us. Did go with another couple last year, it worked quite well.
Sometimes meet other friends who ride a mix of bikes, went to a few meets at Haldon Hill (Exeter) when Ducatisti was still going.
I've not ridden in a large group for years unless you count the ride in to the Bristol Italian day.
I'm not particularly fast, probably don't always ovetake when I could but I'm never far behind Mel. I've done my IAM so know how to make progress but I know the 749 is really wasted on me but how many ride the bike to the bike's limit of capability? I enjoy all riding, even hairpins but I'll never scrap the footrests or my get my knee down again (unlike 30 odd years ago). I could probably tick most of the options.

  11. If its a short blast to escape the wife and kids then on my own. If its to a destination then with mates, all with dukes. So far we have a 749, two 848's, a 998 and two 999's.

We tend to do a few track days as a group as well.

  12. It's quite appealing to ride in company occasionally, but I'm afraid my riding habits would be annoying. I tend to go too fast, leaving people behind, then stop for a pee (prostate not too good), holding them up. Most people trying to maintain a consistent pace would get fed up with me. Also on long tours I tend to eat little or nothing during the day and have a good dinner in the evening - people who wanted to stop for a full lunch wouldn't like this. What I really enjoy most, and often do, is to ride on my own, then meet up with friends etc at the other end.
