There's been a lot of avatar changing this evening. This is not a good idea, unless you can find a really good one you want to stick with. It's all about brand image. If you keep swapping avatars, you get hard to recognise and your personality is in some way reflected in your avatar. At least if it isn't, the perception of your personality is. Of course, it's a free forum, so go right ahead. Don't let me stop you (I know you won't). It's a bit like showing up to the pub in a wig and dark glasses.
I sort agree with Glidd here but it wouldn't have occurred to me to suggest it to anyone. So I won't. My corporate avatar is back after a few weeks absence. The stock markets will doubtless settle down now as confidence is gradually restored.
Well said. I tend to catch the image from the corner of my eye and associate the post with it. As you can see I've not changed mine and have no intentions of doing so any time soon. I think it's a rather fetching one of me in a scrap yard, but glidd, I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned it to you but... Well.. You seem to be made from.. Lego?
It's the icon from the old Mac resource Res Edit which allowed you to edit programme resources. I've just always liked it. It's clearly quite fun and not serious (which is my default mode) but it's also connected with Mac, and as i work in Mac shop a couple of times a week and type all my posts on a Mac, it seems quite appropriate. Even if I loathe Apple as a corporation. Being an icon, it's made of pixels. The old version on the older forum was better, as you got the whole thing, but I can't be arsed to redo it so that it appears as it used to.
Mine too, but I changed it (even though I liked mine that he chose) I put something a little more appropriate
