:Nailbiting: Well I'm almost there in the decision making stage, should I p/ex my terrific 2010 MTS, which has been lovingly modified, cosmetically mostly, (this weekend fitting the EXVL Ben's Decat pipe mod) for one of the new 2015 S model Mutli's or not? I've been talking with Andrew of Moto-Rapido in Winchester and I can get an OK'ish p/ex for mine, with the touring package added to the new one at a reduced price. Or should I opt for the tremendous 2013 plate lowish miles Pikes Peak used bike they have in stock? I appreciate all of the stuff that's been written here before about trade-ins and parasitic dealerships, etc, but I'm erring towards the new bike, because it's not since 2008, when I bought my last brand-newbie, a fabulous Aprilia RSV Factory and it's about time I did something about this. Yes I know I shouldn't mention that name here on this site, but I am a real Ape fan, so there.
Is it worth waiting to get a test ride on one before you commit yourself , you can only assume the new model will be all bells and whistles but sometimes the older model is the better bike , test ride will give you the answer your looking for
NO...hold on...the 2010 model is bestest of all.... If you should be interested in buying the best ever Multistrada, please contact me.
I'm available all weekend. 2010 plate Abs/Ohlins model only 31K miles, full service history... hit me up on tinder....or use @Exige grinder account and he'll forward it to me.
Order a new one (there is already a waiting list), when the dealer has his in have a test ride, if you don't like it cancel your order. If you do like it Bingo you are already in the queue.
Im in the same boat as you Got a fantastic 2010 Sport, fully modified, blinged, and remapped, only done 9000 miles Going to wait until I have test ridden the new one before I consider if its worth the change or not....
I am also considering but bevause the seat position is meant to be so much lower I may be ale to cope two up a little easier. Otherwise its probably going anyway
:Arghh: ACT read the thread, mine's a "Tenner" and no that isn't what I was quoted in p/ex....epressed:
The standard seat is the same as a low seat on existing multi. The new low seat is much lower than the old low seat, but is an optional extra.
The thought of more BHP, more MPG and more TORQUE appeals to me, but have they only achieved the lower seat height by just making the seat thinner ? p.s. Tony go for it, shiny is better
I would have reservations about a much lower seat, even though I would appreciate getting both feet fully flat on the floor, because I suspect you would lose that commanding riding position.
