  2. I'll be very surprised if there is another of these around, this is not actually my bike I just quickly goggled a picture as I don't have any of mine,

Its a Ducati Mini 3 sold by Mototrans in Spain not sure what year mine is but mototrans stopped trading in 1983 when they were bought by Yamaha

  3. By no means the rarest but certainly fairly rare, I have a 1999 model 748SPS (late model sold in October) which was one of only 20 imported into the UK in that year and one of only 100 UK models sold in the three years they were on sale here. Original cost £12,250 and I have the original receipt.

  4. Any chance of a pic?

  5. It's in my gallery, now painted Red but I have all the original bodywork and panels to restore it to original condition.

This is how it looked when I bought it, very original and with 10,000 on the clock.

  6. Rare as in first and probably only remaining of the 5 pre 'pre production prototype' 999's they built. And the only early modern era prototype ever to leave the factory as far as I am aware: due to it being used for Moto GP promo work about 7 years ago. Manufactured in 2001 with a 6 digit frame number ZDM001. (The one at the back under the Ducati sign ) Ducati don't like the fact I have it and although they have confirmed on the phone they will not put anything in writing even though the evidence is clear...

  7. There are several unique bikes bikes on here that are real 1 offs and therefore rare...

Or do you mean rare factory produced bikes?

  8. Show off!

  9. Either. Rare within its own parameters. If you think it's rare it qualifies.

  10. Yes, but is it rare, it's only a little old 999 ;)

  11. How much would it sell it for?

  12. Anybody aware of another one of these? image.jpg

  13. I don't have a clue as it is so unusual so there is little to go on in the market place for reference. A Pre Production (effectively built the next stage after my 999 so homologated version ex magazine promo bike) Honda CB 750 sold last year for close to £100K so in a few years time who knows! It depends if two people want it I guess.
At the moment it is not for sale (well, it would have to be lots of bags of sand to prise it off me, so pretty much not for sale) :)

  14. There's one in the picture below so they say, I haven't spotted it yet...

But in all seriousness, what is it other than an ST4S with extra stickers on?

  15. And a deep sump engine :)

  16. 1098 motor. S4r swinger + loads of other mods. I started a thread about 2yrs ago in the St section. So no not just extra stickers! Haha.

  17. I noticed the engine as above :p

    nice one :)

  18. I'll start bagging the sand!!

Nice pension fund though. A mate of mine keeps 16 bikes as part of his pension fund. Things like H1 and H2 Kawasaki triples, Kawasaki 900s and Suzuki Turbos mostly. But he does have an early 750 MV as well. He did have 18 but had to sell two to pay for his daughter's wedding last year.

  19. Snap - I have 16 including an MV750 but a newer one. Most are in my pension pot - but not all.
