There, or the garage., for some reason I like to do stuff like that where I won't be disturbed. Mind you, no one ever uses the living room here either...
Carbon fibre parts arrived for the Benelli, and a chain guard arrived for the cub. My motorcycle collection is somewhat diverse, eh?
Busy day putting off knuckling down to the pre course reading I have to do for next week. Then I heard I hadn't been sifted in for the two jobs I'd applied for at work, I put in a strong application it seems but a lot of applicants already in the same grade (it would have been a promotion for me). Oh well, maybe the next one.
Dug my car out of several inches of snow this morning. They say Eskimos have over 100 words for snow. Thats nothing really - I've just had a look on some dating websites, and women have well over 1000 words for "fat".
I've spent the day very slowly recovering from a heavy nights drinking, first in a few months. +10 pints of Stella ...we it was my birthday.
I think things have moved on since you were at school, Mr T, and as as 'every skoolboy knows' there are currently 39 types of ‘solid precipitation’ or snow, including the 35 types of named snowflakes, which can be further divided into 121 subtypes, type of snow influenced by temp and humidity.... Mr Bimble.
I've been learning new flags: there are 196 to learn. I've just about sussed all of them - I must be over 180 off pat. This is pretty good, in just a couple of days. It's great fun with Memrise, if you sort of like quizzes (which I do). Why bother to learn these flags? I dunno. It's a semiotic interest, innit? Of course, I couldn't draw them, or even tell you how many colours are on them, but when I see one, I know what country it's from. Could come in handy one day, I suppose. I would also like to nominate "Central African Republic" for the naffest county name. Talk about a lack of imagination. I can imagine the patriotic fervour. Suppose Great Britain was called "North West European Monarchy". How poor is that?
er... what I think I am going to move on to is to see if I can put the countries on a map. I don't know where lots of them are. Mauru, anyone?
I do own it as a matter of fact yes but as I have said on numerous occasions I am poor, just have a lot of motorbikes and as you now know, a lot of Island Kingdoms too, oh, also a prototype Ducati just in case you forgot :Mooning:
I reckon that if the Conservatives get back into office they will offer the Pensioner Bonds again.I know every little helps but the amount you can put in the bonds is not a great deal. The powers that be need to find a way of prising the money out of us baby boomers and getting it circulating in the broader economy for the benefit of everyone.
