I think it's because we are going through the change from FSA to FCA who regulates. It'll just be tweaked and probably sold different.
'Warranty Direct' I'm not promoting them in any way, I had a policy with them for 3 years with my 1098 and now the Ducati warranty has run out on my Panigale I will be getting one for that. Luckily I've never had to claim so I can't comment how good they are to deal with when there is a problem with your bike.
So as I have 4 hours left to let snells know if I want the warranty or not? What are we saying, is it a worth while warranty to have or do I risk? I hate making decisions.
ride the bikes if they fk they fk worry about it then, if the bike had Suzuki, Honda , yam on the tank you wouldn't even b thinking about extended warranty's . I know a few pannis get a proper work out and they never miss a beat , not a lover in ext warranties, plus you still have legal rights, just because something is 2 years old doesn't mean its allowed to self destruct, there a law cant remember the exact term? but its about life expectancy of the product,
Oh well my bank account now reads £299 less than it did this morning, but the more I thought about it I'd rather have the peace of mind in the third year if ownership and not spend it worrying something could go wrong. If any thing did go wrong you could bet your bottom dollar it would cost more than the £300 to put wright! Now do I hope something goes wrong with the bike in year 3 or not now
Me to ,to be fair I was always going to have it. I always have it on the BM and it proved worth having Not expecting to need it on the Ducati, but I can't afford big repair bills £300 I can afford.
So tell me something!A lot of new dashes got changed but the new dashes made differently so they won't mist up or you will have to expect it to do the same? If they are faulty than why don't they call all of them back to swap them? Sorry too for going off topic!
I had a busy day yesterday so my forgetfulness made my mind up for me.. The way I read it, is that by the time my two year warranty is up (June 2016) there will be an alternative scheme or if I'm really that worried I can go with third party insurer. They would/should not release a statement mentioning an alternative plan unless they have serious intentions. Maybe the new one won't include roadside assistance or something along those lines..
As with many my dash misted early on doesn't bother me be my excuse if caught speeding .i just know that it's £1500 according to shop .
Spoke with dealer yesterday, revised warranty will soon be released, including changed one year warranty on used. No more details, at the moment.
