After years of Triumph ownership I have gone red! Anyone want my Triumph ST1050 in graphite? The sun even came out to celebrate for the ride home today!
It is certainly a total change, even in touring on slippery roads with a new back tyre. Seems like its ticking over, then you look at the speedo......
What a truly 'delicious' colour and the bike's not bad either. I see the "RED Arrows" have got a fix on you and your bike already :Sorry:
Thanks Ducbird. Tony, had to have a pit stop at MaccyD's on the way home! WWW, there are surprisingly few about down here aren't there?
I did the same after loads of Hondas and Yams, a Laverda and Triumphs I finally spent some serious money and bought an new 2013 MTS. I've done nearly 14,000 miles round France and Britain, purely for pleasure, in 20 months and never for a minute regretted my decision. Hope you don't either. Great bike.
Speed_Triple, last 5 bikes were Suzuki RG500, Suzuki RG500 (modded), MotoMartin CBX1000, Triumph T595 (eventually modded to straight bars and no fairing) and Triumph Sprint ST1050. So square 4 x 2, 6, 3, 3 and now 2 cylinders. Going to take time to get used to the "lazy" twin delivery, but first impressions are brilliant. Same as you, it is a big step up moneywise, the ST1050 will be going on sale at only about £2500!
Nice bike,i find that first pic a bit spooky it looks like the bike is levitating, ahhhh i get it,its on a sky hook,i will get my coat.
Martyn, 13 plate, nearly 2 now, but looks like new. Yes, full Termi, not the prettiest exhaust in the world, but gives the power and sound!
Looks like a good bike you have there! And in the fastest colour.... I used to live in Sutton Valance and had an RG500 while down there so we are following similar paths. I still miss that special 4 cylinder two stroke soundtrack. Do break out the ACF50 to make sure you keep corrosion at bay while the roads are salted.
Yes! 6 single K&Ns for induction roar, and a 6 into 1 ART carbon can. At about 5500 revs it sort of cleared it's throat and then just wailed up to the red line. Never heard anything like it before or since!
I traded my 1050GT and ZX6 for the Multi - I miss the economy of the Triumph and the road connection of the Kawasaki - but don't regret the decision at all. Full Termi works very well - bit loud without the baffle, but has to be experienced at least once!
