team america, Austin powers and for a rom com you cant go past once were warriors (good ol kiwi flick)
Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, followed swiftly by The Plank......... ...........and Spinal Tap is very funny, but it veers a bit too close to the truth....
Like a lot of peeps on here, Life of Brian still gets my vote for a film. But if i was to choose another it would be Fritz The Cat. An X rated cartoon that i first saw at the age of 16 when at the cinema. A large group of us managed to talk the guy at the cash desk round to letting us in lol. I've since bought it on DVD and watch it more often than i should lol. In it's own way it was very controversial when it was was released, on political, social and racial grounds........................................but had all of us in tears of laughter all the way through.
True. Credited to another country then, by dint of financing, writing or whatever measure you choose.
And funny how Hollywood infallibly screws up any given story, factual or fictional, which it gets its hands on.
You've seen the National Lampoon series of films, right? That wasn't America being funny. It was a documentary series.
How about Blazing Saddles ? I know it contains the "n" word and many other what are now politically incorrect references but made me laugh. Andy
Once were warriors? Rom com? Not sure that's the version I saw where the young girl hangs herself towards the end? Good film, but not sure of rom com label. Any other good NZ films ?
