Two stand out French films: Le Père Noël est une ordure Les Bronzés font du ski. Both are cult films and have seen them many times. But I guess you have to speak French. Seeing them subtitled would be like looking at Life of Brian subtitled if you didn't understand English. A favourite funny British film is Bedazzled - the original version with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. If you haven't seen it, get hold of a copy. Brilliant! And another vote for this:
you are right once were warriors is not quite a rom com... it does have some great one liners (in a brutal shocking kind of way) that have since become the default dialog for many a domistic abuse... Goodbye pork pie, bad blood, sleeping dogs, came a hot Friday... all of these are quite dated and ive not seen em for years so i dont know how they have stood the test of time (or if a non kiwi would get it)
Pulp Fiction? (especially the bit where Bruce Willis escapes from the dungeon and then has to choose a weapon in the pawn shop upstairs before returning to sort the owner out)
Monty Python the holy grail..... Brilliant film. Others, Orgazmo porn spoof made by the South Park guys, hilarious, worth a download
Torque. American bike movie starring Ice Cube , jeezo never laughed so hard in my life , its so far fetched its hilarious
Pulling this thread back from the dead, but I saw this again at the weekend. Maybe my favourite scene of all time.
House party 3. Probably the most One liners I've ever heard in one film. Plus a brilliant cast with quite a few now, a listers in there as well.. Sent from my SM-P900 using Tapatalk
A lot of good films mentioned already, Life of Brian is one of my favourites, along with the Airplanes and other Pythons. The Blues Brothers is another favourite film of mine, but for the Music more than the comedy. It may bit slightly Politically incorrect these days, but the Peter Sellers Film 'The Party’ is hard to beat. Nasher
