899 899 Comparison To Sf1098 Motor

  1. Anyone have a comparison between the SF1098 engine and the 899? I sold my SF because of the bastard dry clutch which was annoying as hell for local riding. It was also pretty lumpy low down. What's the 899 like?

    (I shouldn't really be looking at bikes 'cos my ZX6 only has 600 miles on it! Can't help but miss the red thunder :D)

I'm going to get stoned in public by some for saying this but you will find the 899 underpowered after having 160hp:oops:, the 1098 has a very torquey engine right across the range and you'll miss that if you get an 899. so I suppose the only option if you don't like the dry clutch is an 1199 or 1299.:Cigar:

  7. My current bike is 2014 ZX6R (636) so it will probably be a step back up! Also if I'm not mistaken the SF1098 was 130/140 bhp

    Too poor for a 1199/1299 haha
