Understand we've all got different tastes ect , but if you think this is the 'ugliest bike of all time' , then you might want to visit Opticians | Glasses & Contact Lenses | Specsavers UK ...
It was to ease people eyes actually due to a previous post saying 'stop it' - and to upset @chisel of course I have a 998 but a proper one in Yellow carbon bodywork
as this came out at about the same time as the Katana, I have to disagree with you. The earlier air cooled RD is certainly a much nicer looking bike, IMO
I must admit there's a touch of Emperor's new clothes about MV Brutales and derivatives. You're no supposed to say anything because they're MVs and we all know MVs are beautiful. But that just looks like a road accident.
I'm the other way round. I quite liked the Katana. The style at least if not the colour, but I wasn't fond of the water cooled Elsie. I didn't think it was ugly so much as boring. I much preferred the old air-cooled Jap strokers. A red and white RD 400 was more like it.
See what can be done when the "cafe" one. I rather like it, but of course I wouldn't be offended if I get told that I need to go to specsavers Ready to race: Sacha Lakic's CX500 | Bike EXIF
For me its not the aircooled / watercooled thing, I just dont get smokers and the rd is the quintessential smoker. At least the Katana had interesting styling
Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. The Kat,the LC and even the racing maggot are,in my opinion, good looking bikes. As is the YZF,even though the colours havent aged aswell as the bike!
Ready to race: Sacha Lakic's CX500 | Bike EXIF That is very nice indeed. Now I'm picturing a version with an 8 valve Guzzi engine. But we mustn't get carried away. Keep the mingers coming.
