Ha thanks, I like lofty, I can ride then hang off but the problem comes when you need to push it back or turn in a tight spot etc, its all new and i will gain confidence but I stopped on some steep cambers yesterday and was just hoping id touch down before the weight took over and touched down for me! I was gutted yesterday, new seat lands tomorrow and hopefully sorted an adjustable rear link to pull in a few more mill at least while I get used to it. Just want to feel like the pilot rather than a passenger!
Ha ha bless ya, unfortunately mate Ducati's take no prisoners and it will never let you be in charge fully, in control maybe but never in charge
Find your own way - don't listen too much to this bunch of reprobates ! I'm 5'6 and manage the SF on tiptoes Bradders on his multi carries steps
:Nailbiting: Im guessing thats the appeal My gixxer would do 130 in 3rd but I felt like I could just tell it to get me home safe and it would. The 848 however looks as you say untameable in a beautiful sexy way! The missus heard it fire up for the first time and jumped out of her skin! 'The neighbours are gona love you on Sunday mornings!' Oh yes they are....
I'm lucky my neighbours are fairly understanding one is an ex biker the other rides a diversion YUK!!!, a couple of others are proper petrol heads and the remainder are old buggers n deaf as a post. I've had a few Ducs, had the 848 and the later evo version both very enjoyable to ride and grin factor 2nd to none, my latest toy the 1199 is the first bike in 25 years that scares the living daylights out of me The last bike that did that was GPZ750 turbo, and it wasn't the power that scared me, I opened the throttle to overtake expecting turbo power and feck all happened, had just got passed the car and had relaxed as I was backing of the throttle and the turbo decided to play ball it was no fun.
:Woot: Sounds scary! The power didnt feel massively different yesterday but I was only tickling it, it just felt, sounded and smelt like it meant business...
Congrats and that looks to be in pristine condition, enjoy it looks like the weather may hold up for the weekend
No wonder I struggled to touch down with the superpole seat! It looks very tall next to the new standard one...
