Eez simples: Ze Ducati has 2 big cylinders and ze BMW has 4 smaller ones. That is all you need to know.
People say how fast the BM is at the TT, but Bruce holds the fast lap on an old clonked out Blade at 132MPH, and he fecked up the lap. Arthurbikemad, loving his Honda since 2007 I think the BM in here somewhere lol Current Isle of Man TT Lap Records -Isle of Man TT Official Website
thanks mate , cant wait to try it out, worst case scenario is a don't like it , I will p/x for someit ,poss another panni,
hold on, so it rules in every way- but you havent ridden it? and already another panigale is being spoken of. You'll be back.....
I doubt very much anyone would be disappointed! Even without a test ride. You kind of know what your getting or rather what to expect! SHED loads of top end power and an awesome chassis to go with it, last S1000RR I rode it was a tool, SUPER easy to ride, great handling and FAST!!! Btw I look after a few S1000RR's check my twitter pics, know them quite well
I had a 2012 S1000 ARRH ARRH on demo back in erm 2012 had it for 2 days. , I wanted to love this bike, I was kind of thinking shiiit I shouldn't be taking this out because I will want with a capital W. This is only my opinion but I was so underwhelmed, It was good at going fast.. The End! Pootling through town and no one took a second glance, I may as well have been on a C90. Out on some familiar roads and in the real world it was no quicker than my 999s. It didn't make me feel special or even I was riding anything special. When I did get to wind it up it was fast but without any sense of theatre you'd get with a twin. I could compare it to say a Vauxhall Vectra VXR (Im guessing they make one) Its fast and has some bells and whistles but its still a Vauxhall Vectra. The hero of the bike mags, pub talk and the willy wavers left me cold. Just before anyone says you are Ducati fanboy. I had a Triumph 675 Daytona on demo summer 2014 and fell in love within 5 miles. I really didn't want to give that bike back. So much so if my Panhandle had not come along it was a close contender as my 999s replacement Anyway if we all like the same bikes it would be a dull world
yep agree mr c it would be dull, never test ride bikes and tbh if a tested the panni a would have never bought it , remember first ride as I,d had jap 4,s all my life wtf have a done 20k for this, but in the end really liked it and got used to it, but I get bored easy hense the change, and d8 monk I know it doesn't rule its just a bit of banter and its already got 3 pages going , so it keeps people interested in a debate, the new bmw though is meant to be a different kettle of fish, soon see and don't worry I will give MY honest opinion,
i know its banter mate. theres no doubt in my mind itll be a awesome bike but maybe a bit too good? But i still think you'll be back.....
I didn't buy my Ducati based on how well the manufacturer did at any race, it doesn't make it a better bike for the buying public as the spec of road to the race machines as we all know is night and day. Plus I doubt any of us has even half the talent of the guys that are racing them so if you bought your bike on the basis that the manufacturer's race bike won race blah blah then all I can say is I bought mine because ive always wanted one, the noise and its looks, not that it is 0.03 secs quicker round corner x than brand b's bike.
that's where I probably differ and am not ducati mad, I bought mine because I really fancied a change from jap4,s . ducati to me is just another badge on the tank, some one described them once as having a Italian model girlfriend, gorgeous to look at , but a pain in the arse , that sums them up to me,
Im not Ducati mad either I also have a 08 750 GSXR but im not putting a thread about it, in the wrong section or going on and on about a bike I don't yet have or indeed know what it is like to ride but can only speculate it will be better at this or that
I'd have the bmw but never to replace a ducati....I know a few lads who had the s1000r and the hp thingy and they chopped them for 1098r and a panni r... Ducati at TT? Ha ha are you mad they cost to much to race...anyone on here racing ducati will tell you that! The R1 is highly tipped at this years TT and BSB but lets not forget a. They are untested and b. They aren't what YOU can buy in the shop... I am taking delivery of the R1 end of this month / start of next month to get it ready for the TT...we will see how a stock one does ( with ohlins fork internals but little else)
yeh cause everyone who buys a ducati rides them first bunlge, btw had a 2012 s1000rr so got a fair idea whats gonna be improved,
any way to keep the forum happy I will take me panni eater elsewhere happy bungle, at least you can all bullshit yourself about how good ducati is, lol
No idea what that means ?? And like I said I would have the bm but next to the ducati not to replace it
