899 Essential Mods?

  1. Hey guys,

    Have the new 899 arriving on the 1st March and so far have a tail tidy, Ducati performance screen, rad guards, 1199S LED headlights, Ventureshield film and bobbins for the front forks and swing arm to be fitted.

    Is there anything else people would advise on getting in the near future? I don't want an exhaust just yet, I want to ride it for a while first. :)

  3. Haha. Thanks for that... Coming from a ZZR1400 so done the bigger engine thing and actually prefer actually being able to rev it out a bit and not be arrested for it. :)

  4. One of the first thing I usually look to change is the seat, unless the 899 seat is different to the 1199 or you don't want kids.....

  5. I'll have to check when I get it but I think it is different to the 1199... And I already have a sprog so not as worried about more kids. ;)

  6. The seats are different; the 899 is slightly higher at the front and "grainier" material. I swapped my stock 1199 seat for an 899 and grip/comfort are better :upyeah:

  8. Might want to add some footpegs to your list and a tail tidy and the 1199 rear led smaller indicators are nice and they are plug and play.

  9. Don't worry, I know that and have an electrical engineer on standby to help me fit them. :)

    Tail tidy is already ordered but might have to look at some 1199 indicators if there's some going fairly cheap somewhere... I've been looking at foot pegs as well, might grab some once I have the bike.

  13. If you go down the rizoma rearsets and termi route pm me. I have both to sell. £550 and £1400 new. You can have them together for a bargain £1000!

  14. I would love to do both but I think that I've probably spent too much already and my wife will kill me if I spend any more. Haha. If I get more for my allowance and you still have them about I'll take them off your hands but I've no idea when that might be...
